Romania’s Tricolor Flies over Palma de Mallorca

With pride and emotion, the Romanian House Association of the Balearic Islands (ACRIB) announces that the Romanian tricolor flag will fly in the center of Palma de Mallorca, beside the Ramon Llull statue, from November 28 to December 3, 2025. This recognition celebrates the contribution of the Romanian community to the economic and social life of the islands, a community valued by local authorities as one of the most active and well-integrated in the archipelago. Honorary Consul of Romania in the Balearic Islands, Alexandru George Lazar, coordinated this symbolic initiative in honor of Romania’s National Day.

On December 3rd, the Romanian community in Mallorca is invited to celebrate together in an evening dedicated to culture and unity. The program includes the screening of a Romanian film, a performance of the national anthem by soprano Olga Sain, and a glass of Romanian wine. It is a special moment in which, despite being far from home, the Romanian spirit reconnects with the traditions and values that unite us. ACRIB invites you to be part of this celebration. TOGETHER, we are a PEOPLE!
